Yuhua Ding
Gregory and Maria Henderson Curatorial Fellow in East Asian Art

Yuhua Ding works closely with Sarah Laursen, the Alan J. Dworsky Associate Curator of Chinese Art, in conducting object-based and archival research and scholarship on the East Asian collections of the Harvard Art Museums. Her research focuses on East Asian art with a special focus on the history and patterns of collecting in China and on Chinese pictorial art from the Ming period to the mid-20th century. Before joining the Harvard Art Museums, Yuhua worked in the Asian art division at Cornell University’s Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art and before that in the curatorial research department at Liu Haisu Art Museum in Shanghai. Major exhibitions she organized at the Johnson Museum include Debating Art: Chinese Intellectuals at the Crossroads (2018) and Tradition, Transmission, and Transformation in East Asian Art (2016).
